What Can I Do With Pumpkin Pie Filling?

I should have bought canned pumpkin, but bought the pie filling by mistake. 2 cans! All the cake recipes I have for pumpkin cake calls for canned pumpkin not the other. What can I do with these fillings??

I've done that too!!!!!

Not sure, except pumpkin pie....I have used it in small amounts for cake along with regular pumpkin....just to use it up when there was that pumpkin shortage...and it didn't seem to affect anything.

Pumpkin-Toffee Triffle

Layer the pumpkin pie filling w/chunks of cake (spice, vanilla, chocolate), chopped Heath bars and whipped cream.

Good use of cake trimmings and in a clear triffle bowl it's so pretty.

why not make a spice cake and use this as a filling - mixed with ps, etc.? Sounds like something I'd try icon_wink.gif The good thing is that it's Thanksgiving sand people love pie!

I accidentally did the same thing for a wasc recipe I had. The cake was only for my family so I used it anyway. It was fantastic! I use it all the time now and everyone loves it!
