I'd like to make a life-sized 3D shirt cake standing up as if on a dress form. Any thoughts on how to pull of the structure for something like this? I'm thinking pipe up through the middle with several masonite boards. It's for a promotion at a radio station.

you might want to check out the ladies at the pinkcake box as they have done a similar design but with a wedding dress and cocktail dress. you can see the support system and boards they used. HTH
