What is a good recipe for a frosting/icing that I can "dirty ice" my cake to get fondant to stick? This cake will be out on display for awhile and I don't have room in my fridge, so what is a good recipe for frosting/icing that does not have to be refrigerated?
you can use an american buttercream. if it crust to much before you apply your fondant just LIGHTLY spritz it with water. Works every time for me.
