I would like to offer Gingerbread cakes/cupcakes as part of my Holiday menu specials but I searched the recipe section in cake mix cakes and didn't find a recipe that starts with a cake mix...Does anyone have a relatively easy recipes that doesn't take a million extra ingredients?

Yes, absolutely! I made one last year that was AWESOME, WASC-based, super easy. It's posted in the "Help! Gourmet Flavors..." thread ... let me know if you can't find it, and I'll send you the thread. HTH!

I would like to know also, any idea what page the recipe is on? I have it on my topics list but that particular forum thread has 351 pages.

Just go to the google doc (Macsmom and several others have it in their signature lines). The document itself is a synopsis of all the recipes contributed throughout the thread, and they're alphabetized. Best thing EVER!!! PM me if you can't find it or if you just want me to find the recipe and be done with it .
