I want to make the Buzz tier of this cake. I am wondering how exactly to do these wings?

It will be on my second tier as well. I have premade fondant and gumpaste and also bought Tylose. Do I just dye each color and then somehow stick them together? I would rather not paint them as I don't think it looks as good. Also do I use dowels to make them stay in the cake?
Any directions would be greatly appreciated!!!

You can do the wings in gumpaste (or fondant with tylose) Do the wing first in the base colour and then add the coloured accents. Before leaving them to dry insert thin skewers into them so you have some way of inserting them into the cake. I did a space ship cake few years ago using this method, it is here:
