I am making a cake and I want a not to sweet but yummy oreo cake filling. I was wondering if I just crushed oreo's up and mixed it with whipped cream would that work or would the whip cream melt/deflate . Thanks

I'd do a vanilla IMBC and put crushed oreos in it. The meringue buttercreams aren't as sweet as the confectioner's sugar ones, but they hold up better than whipped cream.

I just did a cake a oreo truffle filling. It was just a package of oreos crushed up mixed with a 8oz package of cream cheese. Everyone loved it! It was tick & kind of hard to spread though. The next time I make it I am going to try & add a little whipping cream to it

I make the one from wbh recipe. Whip heavy whipping cream till peaks form, I add 4-5 TBS. of powder sugar. Sometimes the whipit also(powder to help stablize the whip cream and then add at least 20 crushed up oreos . it is stable , not too sweet and delicious. hth Just made some for a yellow cake layer and chocolate smbc icing.
