If the customer is OK with it, I'd definitely make it chocolate (use Hershey cocoa powder). Makes it sooo much easier to get brown!

I've also added some black to it and have gotten a very nice dark brown color.

do you have time to make marshmallow fondant but use chocolate marshmallows instead of the regular ones? that turns out a nice chocolate brown. good luck!

I made brown marshmallow fondant with Wilton's Dark Cocoa melts and maybe a tsp of hershey's cocoa and didn't have to add any brown gel color at all!

I attached a pic so you could see what color that made.

I followed Rhondas Ultimate MMF recipe and added melted bakers chocolate after melting the marshmallows in the microwave. It turned out dark brown, I hope this helps!

Holy crow, sorry fellow CCers. I was not ignoring you, it just didn't send me e-mail notifications like it usually does!

Unfortunately, however, I don't have a recipe. I just add cocoa until it "looks right". Sorry, I know that is no help!

I always use modeling chocolate or a mix of modeling chocolate and white fondant if I want a lighter color.
