I use about a 1/2 cup of the syrup and a little water mixed with it for the sugar syrup wash on all my cakes. I just brush it on with a pastry brush before wrapping them up or putting them in the freezer.

As for flavors, I've only used Vanilla, Butter pecan and Almond. I love the almond and vanilla, but not really crazy about the after taste of the butter pecan.
