Hello, I was wondering how to keep your filling from bulking out when it's covered in fondanT. Help
Try piping a damb of stiff BC on the edge of your cake.
Okay, thanks eperales04111 I will try that next time. So, by doing this will i still be able to see the line underneath the fondant?
What I have done before is this:
1 - pipe dam, add filling, add top layer of cake
2 - crumb coat
3 - let settle for a couple of hours or so; some people prefer overnight, others speed up the process by adding something with weight, like a tile or a large book on top of the to layer of cake
4 - go back and check for any "oozing" filling and smooth it out; fill in any gaps with additional icing.
5 - ensure a nice, smooth crumb coat, ensure all oozing is smoothed out and any gaps are filled in
6 - add fondant
