I have free reign of the design but id like to go along with the craft fair theme or anything in that range.

What about a very pretty, detailed doll cake to look like a sugar plum fairy? You could put her on a round underneath with snow, or snowflakes, christmas tree/decor etc??

I really like the idea of a doll..I have really had trouble making human figures look real.. I picture the fairy being this very thin ballerina....what do you invitation the fairy to look like? (that's another part of where im stuck. I think a lot of people see her differently.)

Have you seen any doll photos online that I could use for inspiration?

Debbie Brown has a book about fairytale cakes that has an amazing ballerina cake (the skirt is cake). She's sitting down and very graceful.
Maybe do something similar and then add some sparkly gelatin wings?

This was one of my first cakes, so I know you can do much better, but perhaps it'll just help you get in the spirit of it.

The wings I did out of fondant and attached to the doll w/ royal icing. I'm sure you can come up with a pretty gown for her...

Here are some other cakes and images I thought you might like...
