Attempting my 2nd cake and have a few questions.
I want to make a 3D edible spider figurine. What should I use to mold the figurine? fondant?
Also, the color black...how can I best achieve this?
Oh, and i also forgot. I want to make a homemade chocolate frosting for the outside of the cake that is a dark brown (kind of like the the store bought frosting). I've made one before that taste great but was a lighter brown. Any suggestions?
fondant works really well for molding figures, and black is suprisingly easy to achieve when coloring fondant. also for chocolate frosting i suggest using the same recipie you used for light brown, and add some brown food coloring to that. good luck
