Cake Recipe To Go With White Chocolate Raspberry Ganache

Hope this is the right forum for this.

I am making a birthday cake soon and I'm going to use a white chocolate and raspberry ganache filling but can't decide what type of cake to use! I usually just do vanilla but wondered if there'd be something that would go really well with white choc and raspberry.

Any ideas?

Oooh the lemon cake sounds good, might give that a try. I tried the mud cake and I wasn't too keen on it for a big cake, I made a cake in a pan but made some cupcakes with the leftover batter and they were great as cupcakes.
Lolly, once I find one I'm happy with, I promise I'll let you know!

I've cheated, I'm very anughty but I've found some white chocolate which has freeze dried raspberries in so I'm going to use that to make my gananche. I was going to hunt down freeze dried raspberries so I could add them to the gananch myself but this way just seemed easier!

Last week I did a white raspberry mudcake (I put raspberry oil into a white choc batter) and then I put white chocolate ganache inside and out - everybody loved it. I even had a phonecall the following night from someone who called just to complement icon_smile.gif
