I know it seems like an easy thing to do, but I've been trying to make bowling pins for a cake tomorrow and they keep looking falic! lol...Arg...something so simple, why does it have to be so hard!

I had the same issue with bowling pins for a cake for a friend of my mom's. I wound up shaping them the best I could and laid them out on a cake board covered in wax paper. Noone cared that they were flat on the back. Cake turned out good other then I live in Central FL and the humidity is terrible sometimes for what I am trying to do.
Since the cake I can find plastic pins everywhere! Next time I will be using them instead of trying to shape them by hand.
