Is it possible to use small cut outs on wire to decorate a cake that is NOT covered in fondant? I'm afraid the wire will ruin the smooth buttercream.
Thanks.

You can use wired cut-outs but you might want to put straws into the cake first and then insert the wired cut-outs. This will give you added support and isolate the cake touched by the wire. Good luck!

You can also dip the end going into the cake into melted chocolate to coat it...let it dry and they insert......it should not hurt the bc
