I was looking to bake and freeze cut out sugar cookies about a week and 1/2 before decorating them. What is the best way you found to freeze them?

I just did this for the first time a while ago. I put my cookies in a vacuum seal bag, pulled out most of the air and sealed. They were in the freezer for several weeks before I used them, and they were as fresh as the day I made them.
I also freeze sugar cookies at the holidays - any cookie with a butter base generally freezes well in my experience.
