Has anyone used applesauce in the place of oil in the box extender recipes? if so, what was the result?
I've used applesauce in place of oil in quick breads but never cake. Seems it would be too heavy in a cake. If you decide to give it a try, please post the results!
I have never used it in an extender recipe, because I have never used an extender....but I use in my regular box mix all the time and it works wonderfully.
I have used applesauce in Extender and it is fine...but...use unsweetened.
I have also used "natural" applesauce and it is just fine, can't tell the difference.
