How Do I Get My Flower Edges To Not Crack?

Argh!! The edges I've ruffled on my flower (anemone) are cracking as they dry. How do I get them to stay smooth?

Try kneading a little shortening into your gumpaste to give it more moisture and make it more pliable.

Also, you may not need to roll your gumpaste so thin if it's that fragile after ruffling.
