I was just wondering if you charge differently for sheet cakes than for all other size cakes? I've noticed that some people charge less per serving for sheet cakes. What is a normal price for a 9x13? Any info would be helpful. TIA!!

There is no "normal" price, you set the price by factoring in all your costs (ingredients, labor, and overhead) and adding a profit margin, after which you can do a sanity check by looking at your competition.

We start at $49 for a single layer quarter sheet (same as a 10" round double layer) and $64 for a double layer quarter sheet (same as a 12" round double layer), fondant and custom decorations are extra. We are located in the SF bay area, so depending on where you live your market may not be able to support those prices.

Are you talking about sheet cakes in general or sheet cakes used at weddings?

Sorry I forgot to specify. Yes, I would like to know about sheet cakes in general. Thanks.
