We are having our youngest daughter (2.5 yo) baptized this weekend. Her dress is a white satin dress with hot pink, black and silver polka dots. I'm kind of stemming her cake off of her dress. I'm doing a 2 tier cake (9" and 6"). I bought 2" black ribbon and 1" hot pink ribbon with black dots. I'm putting the pink ribbon on the black ribbon and that wil go around the bottom of both tiers. The rest of it will be simply decorated in hot pink and black circles. But, I need some kind of fun topper (black and/or pink fondant). Any suggestions?

Do you want to tie in the baptism at all to this cake? What about a standing cross that is hot pink with a black cross inlay? Or make the cross black and perhaps press a pattern into the pink and lay that over the black?

Do you want frilly or simple?

A gumpaste bow. A 2 loop w/ a cross in the center if you want to tie in the baptism.

A pkg style bow w/ pink & black loops

Feathers/plumes, just stick in straws before you stick into the cake

How about crystals hanging off of pink and black wires? I've seen some pretty crystal crosses at the craft store...

What's about a angel with a dress in teh same colors, like a guardian angel or a book in this colors.
Maybe a big candle.

You could use a black tulle bow like I did in this cake. I just made the bow by wrapping and tying it into a bow over a small piece of styrofoam.

But, customize it to your theme. Use a cross or an Angel instead of the rose that I used on my cake.

Hope that helps! Good luck!
