Aaw, baby shoes sound fun! Do you have cutters for those or just cut them out free-hand?

They are fun and they are so sweet. I used a pattern that is on here (cc) it is a geat pattern. I would love to give credit where credit is do but I can't remember who posted it, but when I finish the cake I will give that person credit for the pattern, but lots of fun.

I used a hibiscus petal cutter (stainless steel) & veiner - I'm sorry I don't know what brand (I do know it wasn't one of the bigger brands like Wilton, Orchard or FMM though).

I'll keep an eye out for your Noddy cake! (I'm always jealous of people who can make gumpaste cars...I'm completely hopeless at vehicles, the symmetry and straight lines do me in! icon_biggrin.gif )

Coral3....

I have already made a Noddy car which is in "My Photos" and tried now for the last two evenings to do another Noddy car and it just won't work..
They say you shouldn't do a cake over twice as it never comes out the same.....I have found this to be true..
So now, I have decided to just go out and "buy" a little car for this gentleman's cake.
Thanks for letting me know about the cutters, will have a look at my baking shop for them.

Coral3 .........thanks for the comment on my Noddy car, don't think I will be able to get it to look like that again...Lol!!
There are times that you just manage to do something, but when you try it again, it never seems to work!!

Wish I had an excuse to make playing cards, but so far haven't come up with one. I often look at the Marion Frost patchwork card set...BUT it doesn't have King, Queen and Joker face cards icon_sad.gif Have pics of those cutters for those who may be curious (pictures, thousand words and all that! icon_biggrin.gif ):

I've been at my "real" job (whatever) so nothing. And it stinks.

I'm going to make some anemone flowers this weekend for a wedding cake for the following weekend. I'm looking forward to that.

I'm hearing you! I make lots of little fondant critters. I always make just one of something first, just to see if I can and if that turns out okay then I make a whole batch of them (for cupcake toppers). Without fail, the first one I made always has a different 'look' to it - even though I made them all exactly the same way. icon_confused.gif Go figure!

I made the brim for a cowboy hat cake. First time, but I think it looks pretty good. We shall see once I airbrush it.

made my very 1st gumpaste baby figurine. my paste was drying too fast, so the blankets has some cracks (made with straight gumpaste). so i made another one 1/2 past 1/2 fondant. much easier to work with.

I made roses using Edna's YouTube tutorial. They're not for anything in particular, I just made them to practice. Because I absolutely SUCK at gumpaste flowers. *sigh*

BTW, those hibiscus flowers are KICK-TAIL!
