Help W/ Synthesizer Cake

So I am making this cake for my husband's surprise bday party. I didn't find any tutorials in the other thread for keyboards so I need help with this one.

It's not going to be as big. Maybe a 1/2 sheet cake long.
I'm sure I can figure out how to start it but if you guys have any idea on how to start it, please do tell.

I guess my main concern is the weird hump looking thing in the back. What should I use/do to place the back up like that???

How about this?

Make the slanted control panel from a piece of foamboard (or your choice of board) covered with fondant.

Secure the panel to the base board with a triangular support behind it.

Cover the back support with your curved cake.

Place the keyboard cake in front of the panel.
