I am making my biggest cake to date- a 4 tier birthday cake. I am nervous! But what I'm wondering is what kind/size cake board am I going to need to hold a 4 tier cake? I only ever use the thick, round Wilton cake boards. They are thick and sturdy, but I'm not sure if it's THAT sturdy. Any tips?

Are you talking about the base board? I use drums, but not Wilton brand.

yes, it's the drums I use. That should hold it then?

That should hold them. You are talking about just on the bottom, right? I would say to use the SPS for stacking too. I have used them 2 times now and it takes quite a bit of the stress out of wondering if the cake was going to collapse on itself.

Single Plate Separator. There is a whole section in the forum about it. It is easy to use.
