I was wondering if anyone knew how long gumpaste figures last? I have a about 5 cakes due all on the same day and wanted to get a head start on the figures...does anyone know how long they last? I mean I know they get hard but will they crack if done too soon in advance? I was going to put them in containers or maybe wrap with saran wrap once completely hardened....any help is greatly appreciated... icon_smile.gif

They should last forever, the colours fade or change a little over time. If you keep them out of direct sunlight that shouldn't be a problem though.

Hi, when I have lots of things to do, I make them 1-2 weeks ahead. I wouldn't wrap them in saran wrap. You can put them in air tight containers and keep in cool, dry place and no direct sun light! icon_smile.gif
