I'm sorry, I am absolutely sure that this question has been asked before but I am AWFUL at the search feature in the place.

Is there any kind of cream cheese frosting that is food safe at room temperature, or is it all a bad idea?

Thanks!

There is a decorators cream cheese frosting in the recipes section here that is fine at room temp. I used it on a cake that took 3 days to eat and it was fine.

That recipe & most recipes for cream cheese frosting have cream cheese, if you are worried about that Lorann makes a cream cheese flavoring.
