Which gumpaste rose cutters does everyone use? I need to make some large roses for a cake in a couple weeks and need to order bigger cutters. I'm not sure which brand/kind to use. (individual petals or 5-petal cutter

I use the 5-petal cutters but end up cutting the petals apart because I like the look better when I can add individual petals. The one advantage is that that method rolls out 5 petals at a time. For big roses I use the 100mm and 110mm cutters from JEM.

FYI, if I had to do it over I'd buy the FMM cutters instead because I like the point in the middle of the petals; I think it gives a more realistic curl to the petals.

I have the FMM and the larger size JEM rose cutters. Depending on the size of the rose or what mood I'm in then I use the one or the other. But to make really large roses I usually start with the JEM cutters then I use the FMM single cutter to make the rose even larger.
