I need help - just had a request to put Birds of Paradise on a cake due Saturday! Does anyone know of a tutorial or written instructions on how to make these? I can kind of guess by looking at the picture but I'm not sure how it's all assembled. I don't need the stem - just the flower part.

Thanks so much for your help!!

I just made several Bird of Paradise flowers for a Hawaiian themed wedding cake. I purchased Nicholas Lodge's DVD on Exotic and Tropical Gumpaste Flowers along with his cutters. Instructions on DVD are excellent. I think making them in two days is going to rush it.

I just ordered the bird of paradise cutters from Jennifer Dontz at sugardelites.com and she very generously emailed her class instructions to me. All I had to was ask. icon_smile.gif
