she used as a base to carve down for this dog cake? I need to make a dog cake this weekend and I need to know what size cakes I should start with as a base. Do you think 10 inch stacked cakes would work or do I need to go larger? I was hoping that I wouldn't have to waste a lot of cake from the carving. When I made a cookie monster I baked the neck and part of the torso in a metal bowl. Do you think this would work or should I stick with stacking as pictured in the video. Thanks everyone.

It depends what type of dog you are trying to create.
I made a dog laying down and used 3 9x13 for the body and used a ball of RKT for the head, but I suppose you could also use a bowl shaped cake for the head...

I want to make the dog sitting up like in the video. The dog is a border collie. It doesn't have to be a full size dog can shrink it down a little. I just don't want to waste cake by baking the wrong size. Thank you.
