Confectioner's Glaze

Can anyone tell me how to use confectioner's glaze. I understand it makes your cake shining.

You can just paint it on with a brush. If it is a large area you may end up with brush marks. I use it for anything to bring it to life. Leaves and flowers and even lettering. It takes the flat look away. The only thing is you can ruin your brushes if you don't clean them straight away. I place some dishwashing liquid in the palm of my hand and rub the brush in that and it cleans most of it off and then you can wash with hot water. Strong alcohol will clean them also. Rose spirits.
