My friend and I are doing some cupcakes for a wedding in a couple of weeks. I have attached a picture that was in the Cake Central magazine a couple of months ago. We want to do something similar to the cupcakes in the picture.

Can anyone tell me the best tip to use to make the icing look like this? Also, how do you make icing the ivory color? Is that something you can buy? Lastly, how do you know how thin to make the consistency of the icing?

Thanks for any help! This is our first wedding and we are a little stressed!

I don't see any attached picture. Try it again. icon_biggrin.gif

My buttercream tends to be an ivory color because it uses butter and shortening...so it's not true white.
