I am attempting my first layered cake. This is what I want to make. one layer of vanilla and one layer of chocolate cake with Bailey's Irish Cream filling, and chocolate fondant covering. I know I should use a certain kind of cake that will be sturdy enough to layer, but there are just SOOOO many forums out there, I just dont know if there is like a standard one I can start with? I usually just use boxed cake mix. I've made homemade cakes before, not a lot, but I have. Maybe doctor up a cake mix with pudding? I just am overwhelmed with so many idea, recipes, etc. Anyone have an idea? THANKS!
