Twigs?

Anyone know how to make twigs or know of a tutorial? I will try to attach photo.

Wrap your florist wire together into the shapes you want and then "twiddle" the fondant or gumpaste onto the wire. Use one of your tool with an edge or a toothpick to score lines into the twigs. You might even want to take a pair of tweezers and give the fondant/gumpaste a little pull here and there to make it look like burrs or broken branches.

What you can also do is paint the wrapped wire with brown coloured Royal icing, let it dry and gently powder with brown and black petal dust, it will look real. Using a medium stiff paintbrush, just irregularily paint the RI on, et voila, you already have bark texture. If you want it smooth, just dip in medium consistency RI. Dip the bottom first, let dry and then dip the top, let dry
