Does anyone have an effective and less tedious way to remove dry petal/luster dust from paintbrush bristles?

I remember an old-school decorator telling me she used talcum powder. Well, a lot of my dusted items are meant to be eaten. Blecch!

I hate using multiple brushes, it's just more to clean!!

Thanks in advance!

Use cornstarch. Dip brush in and dust onto paper towels until clean.

Diane, Jennifer Dontz taught us to use corn starch also and it really works good.
