How do you get MMF and buttercream frosting an ivory color?

For buttercream use dark Vanilla. For MMF, put a touch of brown food color. Very little, then add more. Hope that helps!! icon_biggrin.gif

I always add ivory food colouring to my ultrawhite BC, but really, because I use butter and powdered sugar to make my BC, its already an offwhite colour!

With fondant, I have been known to work in an ivory food colouring in the past, but because a lot of my wedding cakes are ivory fondant, I buy it in the ivory colour!

I find that the MFF (Michelle foster fondant) is a lovely ivory colour from just the natural process of making it.

Pure vanilla instead of clear will give you a beautiful Ivory frosting and taste good too.
