I have a cake delivery to make & have been reading lots of treads about traveling. I'm hoping by reading all of this I will not have a disater of my own! I did get the SPS for the cake, I changed the tiers to match the plate sizes ( like Leah told me to do!!! )
12 round, 9" round 6" square
Now my question is, I saw that a few of you said to travel with the cake cold, now if I put it in the fridge tonight for travel (3 hours BTW) tomorrow morning......Will it put moisture on the fondant? Will it sweat as it thaws?
I will have the AC on in the car, cause of this wonderful Indian summer it will be in the mid 80's for the end of September!
It's for my niece's Sweet 16, and I'm praying that it makes it there ok!!!!!!
