I want to make Indydebi's BC recipe, but I want to make enough to fill my entire KA bowl so I don't end up sucking a lot of air into the frosting. Does anyone have a converted recipe for a 5qt mixer???
i don't use that recipe, but do you know how much it makes? If you do then you could figure out if you need to multiply the ingredients by 1.5 or 2 or maybe even 3.
Hi, i would double the recipe , then half the recipe. You would be using 5 lbs of the powder sugar, making the mixer filled to the top. Let it all incorporate good, Put towel over mixer to keep powder sugar from flying out and then beat on med speed for 15-20 min. you will then have smooth icing. hth
So I'm to assume that I'll need 5lbs of powdered sugar, instead of 5 cups of shortening??
