Does anyone else have trouble getting fondant decorations to dry in humid weather? My loops for a fondant bow have been "drying" for three days and are still soft. I used gum tex in my mmf, and the fondant was quite stiff when I rolled it out. Are there any suggestions for a quick fix? I need this cake Saturday and there is rain in the forcast until then. icon_sad.gif

Have you tried a fan, or letting them dry in the oven with only the light turned on?

thank you for your suggestions. I have used a fan before, and probably will again. i was just hoping that someone had another idea or there was an additional product I could use to keep fondant from getting soft again after it has started to dry.

I live in Puerto Rico (lots of humidity!!!) I have used fondant (about the size of a tennis ball) mixed with 1 teaspoon of tylose. It hardens overnight. HTH
