Just Wondering Can And How Would I Make A Lactose Free

Can I use a WASC method to make a lactose friendly wedding cake, how would i subisitue the sour cream? What about fillings? I am clueless. It's my first lactos free cake that i need to make.

Does the whole cake need to be lactose free? Baking with imitation foods can be challenging as they may change the taste/texture of the finished product.

Here's a link to Tofutti Sour Supreme Non-Dairy Imitation Sour Cream:
(I'm pretty sure there are other non-dairy brands of sour cream.)


Can try baking the WASC with that substitution and see if the baked product is satisfactory for your needs.

Any of the sleeved fruit pastry fillings would work...

I personally avoid dairy products in my diet. There are a lot of things that can be used. Go to a larger grocery store and head to the natural/healthfood section. There are a lot of soy products that are great. I'm wondering if a soft tofu could be used... maybe try one and see.

The frosting or filling won't be a problem. There are great recipes for raspberry filling.. lemon fillings that would be wonderful.

I've never used the sleeve fillings, don't know what's in them and would rather make fresh.
