HI, im thinking of doing a 3d hot air ballon cake but im not sure if its possible.
i was thinking of doing a r4ectangle cake for the bottom and icing it like the basket and then using 6 plastic dowls to go threw that and hold a round board on top so then i can try calf a hot air ballon shape to be held on the top. i would cover the dowls in brown sugarpaste so they look like the rope, does this sound possible?? obviously i think it would have to be put together when its at the destination icon_smile.gif

any help or idears would be great thanks x

Definitately possible. I thought I saved a thread on this, but can't seem to find it off hand. If I remember right, I believe Doug was helping someone else with the structural design of the cake/cake support.

If the link doesn't open, try doing a gallery search for "hot air balloon". Sorry it didn't work for you.
