Does anyone know how to make a "permanent" dummy 3 tiered cake and can I use fondant or gumpaste for embellishments?
Thanks birthday.gif

My question is similar to Jules2222. I would like to make a display cake and cover it in fondant with fondant embellishments as well. I am wondering if the "Perma Ice" looks like fondant or if it looks and spreads like buttercream. I am also wondering what material to use for the dummy cake; Styrofoam, cardboard, etc???

Thanks Tesso! And Octobermis... I think u can also use spackle at the hardware store, thats what I heard. I found out Permaice is like buttercream but not real.
Good Luck!
