Hi,
What is the best icing to use for cookies with edible images?
I was using rolled buttercream and found my images bleed once the cookies are put in clear bags.
I was going to switch to royal icing, which is more work to flood the cookies.
Any other icings I can use?
I don't want to use fondant as I don't like the taste.
Thanks

I use Royal on my cookies with edible images. Hopefully the glace people will respond. I've never used it, but I've read some CCer's use it with edible images

I use glace.. But I let them dry before applying my images.. which I use a brush with vodka or tequila..

I use royal, wait an hour or so for them to get a bit solid, then gently apply the edible image. no extra brushing on of corn syrup, etc. it has worked well for me.

I use fondant, never had trouble with them bleeding, easy to do, too.
