Im doing a cake for my grandpas 72 birthday. How can I get the redskins color (maroon I guess?) red with icing colors? What colors would I use to get that shade? icon_confused.gif Anyone done a redskins cake before that can help me out? I'm a newbie here so I'm still learning the ropes.

TIA! icon_biggrin.gif

... Ok found this on Wilton- "You can achieve Maroon by mixing 4 parts Red Red, 2 parts Burgundy."... That sound right?

Maybe too late, but technically the Redskins colors are Burgundy and Gold.

Take a look at my Redskins I made a couple of months ago...

Josh is correct. The color is Burgundy. I purchased burgundy from Americolor at my local Hobby Lobby. I added a crap load of it and tinted it with a little black.

I've made burgandy before using red and brown. More red than brown though.
