HI all, I'm making a basketweave cake with 3 real tiers atop 2 false tiers and planning to use sps for the top 3 tiers. Was going to use dowels to keep the bottom two tiers together but I'm not sure how best to attach the bottom real tier to the false tiers... Any advice is greatly appreciated!! icon_smile.gif

Thanks!

just sit them on there just as if the bottom two tiers were a stand. Glue down with some icing and you should be good to go.

I agree with peg818. Be aware that your cake will end up very top heavy, making it kind of weird trying to carry it. Just be careful, and you will be fine!
