I would like to ship some cupcakes to my brother for his 40th birthday.

He loves my yellow cupcake with chocolate ganache frosting and walnuts.(oh I am hungry just thinking about it).

I live in Ca and he just moved to Iowa. My first question is : Is it safe to ship ganache frosted cupcakes? and second: HOW????

Thanks for any help you might be able to offer.

I send unfrosted cupcakes in a food saver bag (not smashed), and send the icing (non-perishable), in a zip lock. Mark on the zip lock where to cut to make a piping bag and let them fost them. As for ganache, I don't know.
