I'm making bumblebee cupcakes for a Winnie the Pooh themed shower. What should the cupcakes taste like? I'm thinking some sort of honey creme filling might be yummy, but how about the actual cake? And does anyone have a recipe or any other suggestions?

Hi Kger

I do not have a recipe for a honey creme filling, however, I am a huge Winnie the Pooh fan and would love to see pictures of your bumblebee cupcakes. Good luck with your search.

I would do a nut cupcake. Nut and honey goes well together. another option is a banana nut or carrot cake option.

Good luck

I ended up just making a Sylvia Weinstock's Classic Yellow with a few TBs of honey and some Buttercream Dream with a few TBs of honey. I had 3 people tell me they were the best cupcakes they'd ever eaten. Pics in my gallery.
