I am making a cake using fondant and want to pipe on swirls and things. Do I use Buttercream?

That's what I use! It is easy. If you need to you can thin down the buttercream just a bit.

It won't slide off the fondant? This will be the first time I am using this and don't want a disaster on my hands. LOL

I would use royal icing, but I am sure you could get a good effect with crusting buttercream too!

I use a crusting buttercream, and no it doesn't slide off. You can use the royal icing too. icon_smile.gif
