Similiar; How To Attach Chocolate Letters To Fondant?

I was thinking of just using drops of melted chocolate to attach my chocolate letters to a fondant cake. I am wondering if the chocolate attached to the fondant will be OK....will it break down anything or run? I would hate to ruin the cake this far into it!

A drop of chocolate, a bit of water, or a dab of corn syrup will do the job.
