Help!!! I have been asked to a hippy cake but it has to be a blackforest cake and I am still not good with hiding the fillings so the cake is smooth. Got any ideas of how to do it? Cheers
If you do a stiff damn and let the cake settle for at least 2 hours, then you should not have any issues. I also recently read a tip to mix your fruit in with the BC/whip cream/mousse or whatever else you're using, so that it won't be runny. You could use a white choc whipped cream icing and mix that in with the cherries. There are lots of cute "Hippie" cake in the galleries. Here's a cute one:
