So my daughter's birthday party was supposed to be this Saturday, but because of a number of reasons, we had to change it to Sunday. I made the cakes last night (Wednesday), assembled and crumb-coated them today. I was going to put the fondant and decorations on tomorrow so it would be ready by Saturday, but now that it's a day later, will the cakes still be good by Sunday? I'm going to be very upset if I have to bake all over again!

I think that it will be fine.

Once you put the fondant on the cake it seals in the freshness (for a time) so there would be no problem with serving it one day later than planned.

I agree with the others, I think everything will be fine as you already have it planned. princess.gif
