Hello caker-friends! I'm making my husband and his twin brothers' bday cake in a few weeks and I plan to make a few figures for it. A full person in diving gear, two legs with fins to look like someone diving into the water, and a head and shoulders with a mask and snorkel to look like someone floating in the water. They won't be big...to scale (or hopefully close!) on an average-sized (prob 1/2) sheet cake "ocean" with a boat next to them. I have never made people before, and I'm wondering what is the easiest thing to work with to make them. Candy clay, gum paste, fondant, 50/50, modeling chocolate, something else? I will need to dye it or be able to get a lot of it in black.
