Is it appropriate to make a pound cake into a "regular" cake using 2 inch depth pans? Or are the recipes better suited for a bundt or loaf pan?

Has anyone tried the WBH chocolate chip pound cake? There are directions for using 9 inch pans.

i've tried paula deen's pound cake in 8"x3" rounds and it baked just fine, but i kinda like how the edges taste, so i prefer bundt or loaf pans.

I use pound cake recipes in my 2" and 3" pans all the time. Anything over 10" definitely needs baking core or flower nail to help cook the centers.
